Following on from our three day event at Helsby Tesco we are delighted to confirm we raised £688.42 in financial donations and 1086.7kg in food donations.
The collection and awareness days came as part of the national “Neighbourhood Food Collection” partnership between Tesco, The Trussell Trust and Fareshare. Runcorn and District Foodbank visits Helsby Tesco a few times a year and loves engaging with the community and being visible to those that may need our support.
Our volunteers were there to offer advice on how to get help if needed (by way of sharing our referral agencies) or give help more regularly (by way of regular donations, volunteering, or sharing our online social media pages).
Over Thurs 18th Nov to Sat 20th Nov we were present from 9am to 5pm and are so grateful to have taken in so many food and financial donations. These will go far in supporting the needy in our community, especially over the winter and festive period.
